A mid-1990s Tudor Prince Oysterdate in steel and solid 18K gold, powered by the reliable ETA 2824-2 movement. Produced during Tudor’s Rolex-era partnership, it shares the same Oyster case architecture and fluted-bezel design found on contemporary Rolex models. The champagne linen dial — a less common and highly sought-after variant — catches light beautifully, giving this compact 34mm piece a quiet confidence that bridges vintage charm and modern usability.
Why It’s Special
Two-tone Tudors from this period combine Rolex-built cases and crowns with Tudor’s distinctive design language. The rare linen-textured dial adds visual depth and character that sets it apart from standard champagne finishes, while the solid-gold bezel and crown elevate it beyond later plated versions. Together, these details offer an elegant, everyday-wearable expression of 1990s design and craftsmanship.
Condition
Very good vintage condition. The case retains sharp lines with light marks near the lugs, while the fluted bezel remains crisp. Bracelet shows mild stretch and gentle rubbing to a few gold centre links, consistent with wear, and has been ultrasonically cleaned for presentation. The linen dial has aged to a soft, even warmth with clear printing and clean hands.
Performance: Running accurately at around –17 seconds per day, within tolerance for a watch of this age and calibre.
