The Speedmaster Reduced has carved out its own following — offering Moonwatch-inspired design with automatic convenience. This 1999 example retains its original tritium dial with even ageing, applied Omega logo, and clear bezel engraving. The case-back hippocampus remains well defined, and the watch is presented with inner and outer box and manuals. Paired with a genuine Omega bracelet appearing full length, it represents an honest, late-’90s example with strong everyday wearability.
Condition
Original black dial remains clean with crisp printing and no visible spotting or moisture damage. Tritium hour markers show even ageing appropriate for late-1990s production, with hands appearing original and matching dial tone. Hesalite crystal shows visible surface marks consistent with regular wear but no deep cracks or fractures. Tachymètre bezel retains strong engraving with light cosmetic wear only. Stainless steel case shows honest surface scratching and moderate softening to edges from wear; no evidence of aggressive over-polishing. Case-back hippocampus engraving remains clear and well defined. Bracelet (ref. 1469) shows moderate stretch consistent with age but remains structurally sound and wearable; clasp exhibits normal desk wear with crisp internal stamping.
Performance: Recently tested on timegrapher at –4 seconds per day. Well within range for a neo-vintage automatic chronograph and suitable for regular wear.
